The 2015 Honolulu Woodturner’s Demonstration at Nohea Gallery opened on  August 15th at Ward Warehouse.  Three lathes were active with nine total turners demonstrating the art of woodturning.   The Kapakahi Jug Band with Bart Potter  Duane Preble on pakini bass entertained us all with swinging tunes.  It was hopping!

This year, a selected group of vessels will be sold with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Family Promise of Hawaii, a group that helps homeless families with housing and other needs.

The show remains up with work available for sale through September 7th.

Enjoy an incredible assortment of beautiful local woods, carefully crafted into bowls, pens, hurricane lamps and decor, and kokua the community. This is a great time to set aside some terrific gifts for upcoming special occasions too!

We plan to send a link to the fundraiser items soon, with any luck. Please visit us and enjoy the work of the talented members of the Honolulu Woodturners!
