About the Artist
Tiana Nanayo Kuuleialoha Honda is an artist and printmaker of Native Hawaiian and Japanese ancestry who was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi in the small town of Hilo. Honda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo in 2019 and currently resides in Lawrence, Kansas as a Master of Fine Arts candidate at the University of Kansas.
Her current body of work reflects upon her relationship with home during her time of displacement from it as well as her attempts to reacquaint herself with aspects of her mixed cultural identities.
