Robert McGuire, shortly after receiving his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, moved to Japan to continue his studies. Among other things, he studied the Japanese language, in which he is now fluent. Robert is an award-winning artist whose work has been shown across the country, including The Museum of The Society of Illustrators in New York City. His paintings are inspired by the unrelenting beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. They capture small moments, sections of his mind, that have been impressed with the allure of Hawaiian life. Robert resides on the island of Oahu with his wife and two sons.
