Functional and decorative ceramics handmade in Hawaii

Functional and decorative ceramics, hand made in Hawaii

Hawaii’s potters share their raku fired decorative pottery, functional high fired stoneware and porcelain here.

Jeff Chang’s ceramics are longtime favorites for wedding gifts and host or hostess gifts.  Tea tumblers, coffee cups, saimin bowls, small bowls and platters are unmistakably handmade and a great value.  His raku lidded vessels and urns hold a special place in many homes.  His raku fired lamps are available at the Kahala Mall location in sizes ranging from his largest ever made, now on view, to his table lamps.  Each one is unique.

Peter Okumoto’s Mom Dorothy developed the iconic collection known as Porcelain Hawaii.  Peter continues to develop her vision as he promised her that he would.  His neko cats with plumeria flower adornments are widely collected favorites, as are his vases and decorative ceramics.

Jo An Rowley’s sculptural ceramics bring a smile every day.  She surprises us with work we can’t begin to adequately describe.  If I told you there was a smiling chubby bright blue pit bull that you’d really want to take home, would you believe me anyway?

Rochelle Lum’s sculptural ceramic animals are technically masterful and visually a great joy.

Lorna Newlin’s stylish ocean-themed ceramics encompass sizes from 2.5” to large platters.  Octopus! Honu! Countless fish, starfish, and even leafy sea dragons charm and delight.

The sizes in the additional information tab are the approximate size when packed.

Finally, please do write and confirm the ceramics you are considering is still available.  The shop is busy and unlike the giclee prints, many of these are unrepeatable. Also, if you are considering multiples, please email us so we can save you money on shipping, as this program does not yet adjust shipping costs for those situations when we can safely pack more than one item in a box.  We can get a better quote for you by email at noheagallery808 at gmail.com.
