Carl Grundy began making jewelry at the age of 16 in the Hockley Jewelry Quarter of Birmingham, England. He discovered Maui while backpacking around the world years later.  After leaving he missed Maui and he was inspired to create a new jewelry line appropriately named “The Maui Wave Collection.”

This design derives from ocean waves, but we see traditional polynesian designs echoed in the spiral as well.

Now Carl lives on the north shore of Maui and he continues to hand-make each piece of jewelry himself. Each one of them is therefore unique, and embodies within it the profound reverence that its creator feels for his new home.
