About the Artist
Dick Willson is a Kailua native and lives on the island of O’ahu. A longtime craftsman, Dick enjoys designing unique creations from children’s toys to jewelry boxes. A cash register repair expert, Dick first branched into woodwork with a toy he created for his son.
Dick uses woods from the Hawaiian Islands, such as Koa, Milo, Kou, and Mango. Please keep your creation out of direct sun and intense heat as it can dry the wood unevenly, upsetting the stability of your wooden piece. Direct sun and heat can cause wood to warp or in severe cases cause splits and cracks.
Each piece created by Dick is sequentially numbered to create the chronological story of his work. We hope you enjoy his outstanding creations.
