About the Artist
Eduardo Joaquin (b. 1997, Manila) is a BFA candidate at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM). He received his AA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Art at Kapiʻolani Community College in 2020 and is currently a BFA candidate at UHM. During his time in the UH system Joaquin has been a recipient of the John Young Scholarship in 2019 and 2022, the Jean Charlot Foundation Scholarship, the College of Arts and Letters Alumni Scholarship, and is currently creating a series of paintings for the Geraldine P. Clark Memorial Fellowship. He has shown work at Maui Arts and Culture Center, ARS Cafe, Mark’s Garage, Koa Gallery, Hawaiʻi State Library, Honolulu Design Center, among other locations. His work has been published in the Lēʻahi Creative Arts Journal, and the Star Advertiser.
